Violations addressed accordingly, FWC says
ORLANDO, Fla. – An alligator taken from the wild was found being kept in the garage of an Orlando home earlier this month, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Between Oct. 13 and Oct. 19, an FWC officer responded to the home believing someone there was in possession of an American alligator, soon identifying a subject and starting an investigation. This subject reportedly told the officer that there indeed was an alligator in the garage, showing them to it.
While being questioned, the subject identified another person as responsible for possessing the alligator. This individual allegedly admitted to taking the alligator from the wild, with the officer noting no one at the residence had a permit for the wild-caught alligator.
In a news release, FWC reported “the violations were addressed accordingly.”
