POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd and Bartow Police Chief Andy Ray are holding a news conference at 6:15 p.m.

News 6 will stream the news conference live in the video player above.

The news conference is happening near the Bartow Regional Medical Center on U.S. Highway 98.

We were told that there is an investigation into an incident in which a Bartow police officer used his firearm earlier this afternoon.

No law enforcement officers were injured and the suspect was taken to an area hospital. No other information is available at this time.
