The Tennessee police chief overlooking the investigation of romp cop Maegan Hall was fired on Monday after an outside investigator determined he knew about her sex spree with several officers.
La Vergne Police Chief Burrel 'Chip' Davis covered up Hall's sexual misconduct with six officers while simply telling her not to 'dip your pen in company ink,' according to recording obtained by DailyMail.com.
A third-party investigator hired to look into how much Davis knew about the steamy romps concluded he prevented an initial investigation and failed to discipline or report the officers involved.
Davis was previously on paid administrative leave before he was formally fired. It is unclear when Davis found out about the steamy romps but Hall claimed he created an environment that encouraged the behavior.
'There aren’t words to describe the disappointment and frustration felt by myself and other city leaders,' Mayor Jason Cole wrote in a statement to DailyMail.com. 'Officers are held to a higher standard, even more so is their chief.'

Hall was fired after a ground breaking investigation revealed her sexual misconduct with several officers in the department
The police department that sits 20 miles outside of Nashville named Deputy Chief Brent Hatcher as interim police chief as the nationwide search to replace Davis begins.
Hall was interviewed three times after a whistleblower came forward in December reporting she was having 'intimate relationships' with male colleagues at boozy parties, hotels, and even on police property.
Throughout the investigation, Davis contributed to the findings but was never named as a participant in the scandal. While it is unknown when Davis was informed about the sexual misconduct, the former police chief acted ‘shocked’ when the formal investigation occurred.
A recording obtained by DailyMail.com last week revealed the awkward exchanges between married Hall, Davis, and the head of HR for the City of La Vergne when they touched upon everything from games of 'strip Uno' to foot fetish photos and wife-swapping sessions.
Hall, 26, mumbles, stutters, lies – then finally comes clean – over the course of three interviews spanning two hours.
'I got stupid, I got desperate, I guess, and guys are guys and they'll stick their di** in anything,' Hall said.
Her confession left Davis struggling for words – before he dryly advises her: 'What do they say? Don't dip your pen in the company ink.'
Hall, 26, can be heard in investigation tapes stumbling upon her words after a whistleblower reported her relationships
Sgt. Ty McGowan was the source of the original whistleblower tip
In her first interview, Hall admitted only to bedding K-9 officer Larry Holladay, who was suspended without pay but kept his job because he was honest with investigators.
Her second groundbreaking interview revealed more of her relations and her third is when she officially came clean.
The shameless siren was fired this month along with fellow officers Sgt. Lewis Powell, Detective Seneca Shields, Patrol Officer Juan Lugo, and Sgt. Ty McGowan.
Hall admitted to giving several officers blowjobs, including Powell while the two were in the substation. She claimed her and her husband were on the road to divorce and she cracked.
Three other officers involved, including Holladay, Patrick Maglicco and Gavin Schoeberl, were suspended.
Hall had exchanged naked photos with several men, including Schoeberl, McGowan, Holladay, Lugo and Shields, a report revealed.
Hall also confirmed having sexual relations with Juan Lugo-Perez (left). He confessed to having sex with Hall and sending explicit images and was fired. Patrol Officer Gavin Schoeberl (right) swapped naked pictures with Hall but escaped suspension
Officers Lewis Powell (left) and Detective Seneca Shields (right) were fired for engaging in sexual relationships with Hall while on duty. Powell confessed to the allegations after initially denying he was sexually involved with her, while Shields admitted to having oral sex with Hall in the department's gym while on duty
K-9 officer Larry Holladay (left) and patrol officer Patrick Magliocco (right) were both suspended for having sexual relationships with Hall
Hall further confessed to getting drunk at a 'girls gone wild' hot tub party where she sang karaoke and fell down a flight of stairs before having sex with Magliocco in a bathroom of a colleague's boat.
Hall's husband Jedidiah, a sheriff's deputy and the son of a pastor, was sticking with his wife and trying to work through their problems
'My bathing suit was a little loose and it fell off,' she added, coyly.
DailyMail.com revealed last month how Hall's husband Jedidiah, a sheriff's deputy and the son of a pastor, was sticking with his wife and trying to work through their problems.
Despite his wife's infidelities, she and Jedidiah are still living together at their home in Manchester, 60 miles south of Nashville, their first marital property, which they bought a year ago.
The couple has been sweethearts since their college days and got married in November 2018.
'I don't know how he's doing it, he's more of a man than I am, but he's trying to salvage his marriage,' Jedidiah's boss, Coffee County Sheriff Chad Partin, told DailyMail.com last month.
