Teenager charged to court after 'vehicle pursuit' in Strabane

A teenager is expected to appear before court, after he was charged with a number of offences. The charges following an vehicle pursuit incident on Friday.

Police say they have charged the young man to court with a number of offences, following a vehicle pursuit in the Strabane area yesterday, February 14.

A brief PSNI statement read "The 19-year-old man has been charged with burglary and a number of driving-related offences, including aggravated vehicle taking causing damage to another vehicle, driving with excess alcohol in breath and failing to stop for police.

"He is due to appear before Strabane Magistrates Court on Thursday 13 th March."

It is understood that the charges follow numerous reports of a suspicious vehicle to police at around 11am on Friday February 14, travelling from Derry to Strabane.
