Three brazen thieves have swiped $300,000 in cash from a Brink's vehicle during a bank money drop in Brooklyn.
The armored truck was in front of a Chase Bank in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, when the three robbers seized the opportunity and stole the large cash sum at around 1pm.
Two of the men involved in the heist allegedly started speaking to a Brink's employee to distract them and ask for directions - while the other removed a bag that was left unattended on the bumper of the truck.
He then fled on foot from 5423 Eighth Ave, according to police.
Cops are now trying to find the trio - including the man who grabbed the cash (yellow ringed) and ran while the others distracted the driver
The heist occurred on January 6 and cops are now trying to track down the men - especially the one who ran off with the bag, seen on CCTV.
The man who removed the bag was described as having a light complexion and slim build. He was wearing a black winter hat, a black hooded jacket and black sneakers with gray pants.
Both of the two men who distracted the worker had a medium complexion and medium build.
The NYPD said: 'While the employee was distracted, another unknown individual quickly removed a bag that was left unattended on the bumper of the armored Brink's truck and fled the scene on foot.
'They just distracted him while talking to him. It was a crime of opportunity. Someone saw an opportunity.'
Brink's said in a statement: 'We can confirm there was an incident involving a Brink’s crew in Brooklyn on Friday and we are working with law enforcement.
'At this time, we don’t have any further information to share.'
