Ryanair wasn't very sympathetic when a passenger complained about the lack of window by their "window seat".
Radio host Dave Treacy took to X to post a photo of his allocated seat, which was beside a solid cabin wall without a view. With a dash of humour, he quipped: "When you book a window seat, but forget it's @Ryanair."
But instead of offering an apology, the budget airline decided to have some fun at Dave's expense. Their brutal two word response was "Turkey flight?"
The insult implied the bald passenger may be headed to the country that's become famous for hair transplants, which is a comment that seems to have sparked a mixed response online.
The tweet has drawn in 1.1 million views and plenty of comments. One individual erupted into laughter, admitting: "I have just laughed way too loud at that." Another chimed in: "I'm howling." And a third declared the put-down was "amazing".
Some users decided to carry the joke further by Photoshopping hair onto Dave's head – but others weren't very amused by how Ryanair handled the complaint.
One responder inquired: "What's the joke here?" Another said: "So mean." A third declared: "Ouch, that burns." While a fourth contributed: "Not really polite of you Ryanair."
Despite criticisms of Ryanair's handling of customers on social media, CEO Michael O'Leary has shown little concern about any of the social media sass.
He remarked to Skfit that online mediums are advantageous because he can "reach lots of people at no cost". The plan seems to be to "make noise" in order to obtain the highest possible amount of visibility.
And it's definitely working – as Ryanair boasts more than 800,000 followers on X alone!
