Police standoff in Idaho Falls after disturbance between neighbors

IDAHO FALLS — A large number of police responded to a disturbance in a neighborhood on South Boulevard in Idaho Falls Wednesday afternoon.

Police officials say during a dispute between neighbors, one of them pulled a gun, ultimately resulting in a standoff with police.

“There was some sort of neighbor disturbance in which one of the neighbors pulled a gun and then retreated back into the house,” Idaho Falls Police Department Lt. Bob Lasher said.

Pictures sent to EastIdahoNews.com from viewers show police with guns surrounding a home. Several roads in the area of 17th Street to 19th Street have been blocked off.

Officers are still trying to resolve the situation. It’s unclear what time the incident began.
