Launch targeting Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 12:07 p.m.

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket blasts off from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (WKMG)

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – NASA, Northrop Grumman and SpaceX are gearing up for a supply launch to the International Space Station on Tuesday, according to NASA officials.

In a release, NASA announced that the launch is scheduled for no earlier than 12:07 p.m. at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

The launch will consist of a Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Cygnus cargo spacecraft, which will be filled with over 8,200 pounds of supplies, the release shows.

According to NASA, some of the highlights of the research aboard the ISS that will be helped by this launch include:

the MSTIC facility, which is an autonomous semiconductor manufacturing platform

If the launch is successful, the spacecraft is expected to arrive at the ISS on Thursday, Feb. 1.

Launch coverage is scheduled to start at 11:50 a.m.
