Motorcyclist dies following crash in Cambridge

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police are investigating a fatality crash that occurred at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday on State Highway 71 at milepost 25, west of Cambridge, in Washington County.

A 57-year-old male from Missoula, Montana was traveling westbound on State Highway 71 on a BMW R1150GS motorcycle. The rider crossed the center line into the eastbound lanes, lost control, and was separated from the motorcycle.

The rider succumbed to his injuries while in transport. The rider was wearing a helmet.

The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
