Moscow Roiled by Mass Shooting in Packed Concert Hall

Russian media reported Friday that multiple gunmen in combat fatigues opened fire inside a packed Moscow concert hall, killing an unspecified number of people.

Heavy gunfire could be heard in the background of videos shared on Telegram from the venue, showing concertgoers fleeing for their lives at Crocus City Hall. State news agencies reported that as many as 50 ambulance crews were dispatched to the scene.

“A terrible tragedy occurred in the shopping center Crocus City today,” said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in a news conference. “I am sorry for the loved ones of the victims.”
