Worried friends of missing Massachusetts mother Ana Walshe say she 'couldn't wait' for her three sons to join her in her DC home after she set up their bedrooms.

The mother-of-three was last seen alive on January 1, as the search for her reached its 11th day after cops scoured the family home in Cohasset and a garbage disposal facility in North Boston.

Close pal Alissa Kirby says that Ana would clean the boys' rooms in their $1.4million home in Chevy Chase, Washington DC, even though they hadn't been there yet.

Court documents also indicate that there may have been trouble within her marriage to Brian Walshe, 47, despite Ana writing a letter to thank a judge for allowing the fraudster to stay home.

Friends say that she was 'desperate' for her three son's to join her at a $1.4million property in Washington DC  which she bought

Kirby told WCVB: 'She set up all the rooms for the boys, even though they hadn't been there yet, and on a weekly basis, she would clean the rooms.

'She could not wait for her children to be here with her.'

A court transcript from last year also revealed that Ana had 'moved out of the jurisdiction' of Cohasset after her husband pleaded guilty to fraud charges.

Art-swindler Walshe was on house arrest after pleading guilty to stealing $80,000 Andy Warhol paintings and then selling fakes to a friend.

In a letter to the judge overseeing the Warhol case, Ana said that she was 'grateful' to him for allowing her husband to spend the 'last eight months at home supporting his children and closest family members.'

The court documents show that she had addressed the letter from the Washington DC address rather than the home they shared.

She wrote: 'During these eight months, our family was able to be together during many milestones.

'On December 21, 2021, my mother suffered a major neurological event which caused a heavy hemorrhage.

TIMELINE LEADING TO DISAPPEARANCE

November 2016: Brian Walshe was arrested in connection with an $80,000 art fraud of Andy Warhol paintings. He is ordered by a court to remain under house arrest until sentencing. Walshe has yet to be sentenced for the fraud.

January 1, 2023 : Ana reportedly booked a rideshare car to take her to Logan International Airport at 4am, but it is unclear if she ever got into the vehicle.

Her husband claims he went to Whole Foods and CVS, but there is no surveillance or receipts to prove he went, cops say.

January 2: Walshe tells authorities that he only left the family home in Cohasset to take his son for ice cream.

He is caught on surveillance footage buying $450 worth of cleaning supplies in Home Depot.

Ana's phone pinged in the area of the house on Jan 1 and 2.

January 4: Ana's employer reports her missing.

January 5: Police say Walshe is cooperating with the investigation into his missing wife.

January 8: Walshe is seen leaving the property on Sunday in a red Volkswagen. His three children were taken away in a separate vehicle.

Officers executed a search warrant at their home and found blood in the basement, along with a broken knife. The officers loaded a Volvo SUV onto the back of a truck while others searched the grounds of their home.

Police arrested Walshe on suspicion of 'misleading' authorities but have not charged him with anything else.

January 9: Walshe grins at reporters as he is transported to his arraignment at Quincy District Court. He was held on $500,000 cash bail.

'Brian was the one who heard my mother's sighs (sic) for help within seconds and immediately called me and emergency.

'She keeps repeating that she wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her son-in law. Not only did he save her life, but he also brought her and the entire family comfort and joy during the course of her illness.

'Brian has been working consistently on breaking the past habits of his family and we are all looking forward to the new chapter of his life.'

The couple's three children are being looked after by government services, and the family dog, Hans,  has also been placed in a shelter until a member of the family can take care of him.

DailyMail.com previously revealed that Walshe was also facing the prospect of 30 months in prison for the alleged theft of money from his estranged father's estate – as well as breaking into his property and destroying his will after his death.

It is unclear if his wife was aware of the allegations being made by his family, with a friend of his father Dr Thomas Walshe say he tried to manipulate him after a stroke – which led to Walshe being cut out of the will.

Legal documents show Walshe asked for a key to the family's $710,000 beachfront property in Hull, Massachusetts.

The papers add the younger Walshe raided his father's home, stealing thousands of dollars worth of artwork and luxury items – including paintings by Salvador Dali and Joan Miro – as well as a car.

He then allegedly tried to sell his father's home for $140,000 more than it was worth, after he was wrongly named executor of the will.

Walshe failed to inform other family members of his father's passing, and the discrepancies were only caught after his cousin, who had been named the executor of Dr Walshe's will, contacted a friend in 2019 to discover the news.

A friend of Dr Walshe claimed in an affidavit that his son had been diagnosed as a 'sociopath' after being treated at Austen Riggs Psychiatric Centre before being discharged a few years ago.

The couple met after Ana moved from Belgrade, Serbia, aged 25 while she was working at the Wheatleigh Hotel in the Berkshires.

She met him after she cleaned his apartment, with Walshe becoming her second husband after she split with Mark Kripp.

The real estate executive for Tishman Speyer was also the manager of a building luxury Washington DC building where two fake Homeland Security agents lived, DailyMail.com revealed.

It comes as police continue to search for the missing real estate executive, who was last seen at her home on New Year's Day at around 6am – after throwing a bash the night before.

Walshe was seen on surveillance video buying heavy-duty cleaning supplies, despite telling cops he had been home around the time his wife was last seen alive. The couple have three sons, believed to be aged two, four, and six

New security video obtained by 7NEWS shows Brian Walshe, 46, at the Press Juice Bar in Norwell, Massachusetts, placing an order around mid morning

Ana was reported missing to police on January 4 by her employer in DC - three days after her husband last saw her on January 1.

Walshe told cops that he had only left the apartment to take his son for ice cream and also to visit his mother Diana in Swampscott, but claims he got lost in the Peabody area.

Officers spent hours searching through trash at a disposal unit in Peabody, with the Norfolk District Attorney's office confirming that they found a 'number of items'.

Sources said law enforcement found a hatched, hack saw, blood and a rug that had been in the basement of the couple's property while searching the rubbish.

They also hauled off several dumpsters from outside Walshe's mother's apartment block to the disposal unit with a police escort.

Walshe also googled 'how to dispose of a 115-pound woman's body' after his wife vanished, according to police sources.

Friends of Ana claimed that she had been promising a 'big surprise in the New Year' and appeared to be in a hurry to sell of her assets for cash.

The couple owned several properties together – including their home in Cohasset and a $1.3million house in DC.

They also owned another property in Massachusetts, worth $1.4million – which they sold last year before she went missing

On Monday, Walshe pleaded not guilty to misleading investigators in the hunt for his missing wife, but remained in jail on $500,000 bond.

Walshe was also caught on surveillance footage showed at a Home Depot in Rockland, purchasing $450 worth of cleaning supplies, including mops, a bucket, and tarps.

Prosecutors at Quincy District Court say Walshe's statements, including claiming that he didn't leave the house, delayed the investigation.
