A man has been charged with murder after a fatal assault last weekend.
Police say the 23-year-old will appear at Belfast Magistrates Court tomorrow, Friday February 21, 2025. The murder charge is in relation to the arrest of a man in Belfast on Sunday February 16. That arrest was in connection with a fatal assault in the South Anne Street/Duke Lane Upper area of Dublin.
The assault happened in the early hours of Saturday February 15, 2025. The man was detained under the Criminal Jurisdiction Act 1975.
In a brief statement, a PSNI spokesperson said: "He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Friday 21 st February. As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service."
