Man’s body discovered near mile marker 247
A 55-year-old Lakeland man was found dead on the side of Interstate 75 in Hillsborough County on Sunday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said they were “notified by a passerby of a body lying on the northbound shoulder of I-75″ near mile marker 247 around 2:37 p.m.
According to a news release, evidence indicates the victim was struck by large red-colored vehicle, possibly a commercial vehicle.
