Britain's Got Talent sensation Kevin Finn has been snapped up by Coronation Street producers following his impressive stint on the ITV talent show last year.
The TikTok star, who has amassed over 487,000 followers, made a name for himself in the semi-finals with his act that included performing various regional accents.
Now, he's set to trade the BGT stage for the iconic cobbles of Weatherfield. On Wednesday (April 2), Kevin excitedly announced his new role to his Instagram followers.
He posted a collection of photos donning blue scrubs on the set of the beloved soap, captioning it: "FINALLY I can share this. I'm on @coronationstreet."
He continued, revealing his upcoming appearances: "I'll be on a few episodes over the week or two. Was a blast. Thank you to my agent @alexpriestleytalent for getting me the audition! Doing the accent and all."
His agency, Alex Priestley Talent, confirmed the news as well, stating that Kevin will portray a character named Wes Fuller, though details about his connection to Weatherfield are being kept secret at the moment, reports Plymouth Live.
The official Coronation Street Instagram account echoed Kevin's announcement, prompting an outpouring of support from fans in the comments section.
Excited viewers expressed their anticipation, with one saying: "OMG I don't even watch this anymore but I'll be tuning in for you."
Another congratulated him: "Congratulations Kevin. Many more opportunities on the horizon for you."
Others shared their surprise and enthusiasm, with one commenting: "Are you kidding? Legend! Hit the big time now live... not watched in decades but will have to catch on a replay somewhere!" And another eagerly added: "Amazing can't wait to see you! ! Hope your well."
Jack Carroll, Britain's Got Talent alum, joined Coronation Street in 2023 as comedic addition Bobby Crawford, the nephew to Carla Connor.
Over the past couple of years, Jack's portrayal of Bobby has been pivotal in major storylines, including the mystery surrounding Lauren Bolton's (Cait Litton) disappearance.
Reflecting on his debut in Coronation Street, Jack declared: "I'm delighted and honoured to be playing a part in the history of the cultural institution that is Coronation Street."
He expressed his aspirations for the role, adding: "I hope Bobby brings viewers a lot of laughs in the vein of some of the street's classic comedy characters."
