Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association, CareerSource Central Florida discuss trends, strategies
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association and CareerSource Central Florida on Monday will host its first State of The Hospitality and Tourist Summit, providing an update on the industry in Central Florida.
CareerSource said the event, which begins at 8:30 a.m., aims to provide comprehensive analysis of the “current economic impact and workforce trends” in Central Florida’s hospitality industry.
Industry leaders from UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management, Loews Hotels, Hyatt Regency Orlando, and the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority will be in attendance, the release said.
“Together, they will share unique insights into the industry’s landscape, discuss the challenges and success stories and explore strategic solutions to shape the future of the hospitality and tourism industry in Central Florida,” a release said.
A new report commissioned by Tourism Economics, LLC shows that Central Florida’s tourism industry hit a record economic impact of $87.6 billion in 2022, marking a notable 31% rise from 2021, according to the press release from CareerSource Central Florida.
This growth resulted in over 449,000 new jobs, highlighting the industry’s crucial role in the region, CareerSource said.
