Here’s who has applied to be a new magistrate judge in Bonneville County

The following is a news release from the Seventh Judicial District.

The Seventh Judicial District Magistrates Commission will meet in Bonneville County on Oct. 20 to select a new magistrate judge to replace the Honorable Steven A. Gardner, who will be retiring effective Dec. 31.

Ten applications have been received for the position of Bonneville County Magistrate Judge, according to Tammie Whyte, Seventh Judicial District Trial Court Administrator.

The applicants are:

NATHAN D. ADAMS – Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Kootenai County SCOTT J. DAVIS – Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Bonneville County JOHN C. DEWEY – Prosecutor for the City of Idaho Falls LEE J. FISHER – Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Elmore County JASON C. GUSTAVES – Deputy Public Defender for Bonneville County R. WILLIAM HANCOCK – Attorney for Farm Bureau Insurance in Pocatello PENELOPE NORTH-SHAUL – Acting Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Bonneville County TYLER J. RANDS – Attorney with RandsLaw, PLLC in Twin Falls TAWNYA RAWLINGS – Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Fremont County BRAD RIGBY – Deputy Public Defender for Bonneville County

Evaluation questionnaires on the applicants will be sent to attorneys statewide.

Questionnaires for public comment may be obtained from the County Clerk’s Office of any District Court in the Seventh Judicial District, or from the Seventh Judicial District Trial Court Administrator’s office, located at 605 N. Capital Ave., Idaho Falls, ID 83402.

Public Comment evaluation questionnaires should be returned to the Trial Court Administrator’s office, at the address above, no later than Friday, Sept. 15.
