Some schools across Northern Ireland are closed on Wednesday morning as snow and ice has hit the region.
A yellow weather warning for snow and ice issued by the Met Office is in place until 12noon on Wednesday, January 8.
Police have advised motorists to to take care on the roads across NI this morning. A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Please take extra care on the roads this morning especially on those which may not have been gritted. Clear your windscreen of ice before you set off and remember to slow down and increase the distance between you and the vehicle ahead."

Irvinestown Primary School | Burfits Hill - Wednesday 8th January 2025 due to a death in the school family.
Cumber Claudy Primary School | 20 Cregg Road - Wednesday 8th January 2025 due to adverse weather.
St Patrick's and St Brigid's College | Claudy, 55 Main Street - Wednesday 8th January 2025 due to adverse weather.
