The Coastguard and RNLI were deployed in a search operation in Belfast Lough today following reports of an "unattended object".
The emergency service teams were called to the lough at around 12.15pm on Thursday, March 10, following reports of an unattended object that was believed to be a small watercraft.
Rescue Teams from Portmuck, Larne and Bangor were called to the scene, alongside two nearby vessels, an HM Coastguard Rescue Helicopter and lifeboats from Lagan, Bangor, and Belfast.

However following a nearly three and a half hour operation, nothing was found and search teams were stood down at 3.40pm.
A Coastguard spokesperson said: "At around 12.15pm this afternoon, HM Coastguard was called to reports of an unattended object believed to be a small watercraft at Belfast Lough. Coastguard Rescue Teams from Portmuck, Larne and Bangor were called, alongside two nearby vessels, an HM Coastguard Rescue Helicopter and lifeboats from Lagan, Bangor, and Belfast.
"A search was conducted and with nothing found, stood down at 3.40pm."
