Child found near Crosby at Towne Center Apartments
SANFORD, Fla. – A 3-year-old died in the hospital Saturday after being pulled from the water at a Sanford apartment complex, according to police.
Officers were called to The Crosby at Towne Center Apartments, located at 12500 Solstice Loop, on Saturday afternoon. Both Seminole County and Sanford Fire Rescue also responded to the scene.

Investigators said the child was pulled from the water and taken to the hospital where they ultimately died. There is a retention pond and a pool at the complex, but officers did not say where the 3-year-old was found.
The police department did not release the child’s identity. Investigators also did not say where the 3-year-old’s parents were when the child went into the water or if they could be facing any charges.
