The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco) has announced a significant increase in the price of Petrol 92 Octane, effective from midnight today (21).
According to the latest revision, the price of Petrol 92 Octane has been increased by Rs. 81, bringing the new retail price to Rs. 398 per litre.
The price hike comes as part of a broader fuel price adjustment implemented by the CPC in response to rising global oil prices and prevailing economic conditions.
Petrol 92, widely used by the majority of vehicle owners in Sri Lanka, is expected to have a direct impact on daily commuting costs and overall transportation expenses.
Authorities indicate that the revision aligns with ongoing efforts to manage fuel pricing in line with international market fluctuations and domestic financial requirements.
