The results of the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) examination will be released before the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, Commissioner General of Examinations Indika Liyanage said.
He noted that the evaluation process is currently underway following the completion of all examination components.
The A/L examination, which began on November 10, faced disruptions due to the impact of Cyclone Fengal, leading to the postponement of several subjects. The rescheduled papers were subsequently held between January 12 and January 20.
In addition, practical examinations related to the A/Ls were completed recently, bringing the entire examination process to a close.
Approximately 300,000 candidates sat for the examination this year.
Meanwhile, applications have now been called for the next A/L examination scheduled to be held in August. The Department of Examinations has announced that applications will be accepted until the 24th of next month.
