Rodney McAree hopes lessons are learned following last week's Storm Darragh controversy in the Irish Premiership.
Every top flight game was postponed including Dungannon's home clash with Linfield.
The plug was pulled on that fixture just 70 minutes before kick-off, leaving many fans up in arms over the late call-off.

"It is probably a lesson learned, and for everyone involved. I thought the game could have been played. I thought the conditions weren't that bad. But we have to respect what others believe and think," McAree said.
"The referee has an opinion, Linfield have one and I have one. And ultimately it was left up to the referee to talk with NIFL and make a decision based on that.
"I suppose from the referee's point of view, if there are any concerns then maybe he feels it is best to postpone the game. We have to accept it and move on.
"I would have preferred to have the game on, but it wasn't the case."
He added: “I don’t think there’s a right or wrong, you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t. It was a case of had you called the games off early but then games were able to be played, then you would have called the games off too early.
“We left the game on because we deemed the conditions to be playable. It wasn’t going to be pretty, it wasn’t going to be ideal, but we’ve probably played in worse."
