Buffalo Bills seek volunteers to shovel stadium ahead of playoff game Fans were also asked to clear snow week prior for game against Steelers Snowstorm postponed Bills' first-round playoff game

(NewsNation) — The Buffalo Bills are once again asking fans to help shovel snow inside Highmark Stadium ahead of Sunday’s playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Volunteers were asked to arrive and register at the stadium Friday to shovel snow throughout the day and evening. Like last week, the rate is $20 an hour, and a break area is provided.

“This place is unique from top to bottom,” Bills head coach Sean McDermott said of fans volunteering to shovel snow. “It’s a special place to coach, it’s a special place to play and really a special place to live. And I think it doesn’t get the credit it deserves from probably the rest of the country, but we’ll take it. When you spend some time in Buffalo and western New York, you’ll learn to appreciate it and love it, quite honestly.”

It’s the second week in a row volunteers were called on to clear out snow. A massive storm last week dumped inches of snow on Buffalo and forced the postponement of the team’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers from Sunday afternoon to Monday.

Despite the best efforts of shovelers, Highmark Stadium still had a fair amount of snow when fans arrived for the Steelers-Bills game, which the Bills won.

They play Kansas City in the divisional round Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
