We’re big fans of Stasher products at EatingWell, so it’s no surprise that their reusable silicone bags topped our list in recent tests. This four-piece set includes two sandwich bags and two snack bags, perfect for packing lunch and snacks for the day. These versatile bags are not just for on-the-go; they’re also excellent for storing leftovers in the fridge or freezer and can even be used in the oven (up to 425°F) or for sous vide cooking.
In our tests, Stasher bags kept a variety of foods fresh, from cookies to bananas, cornbread, and sliced apples and pears. They remained undamaged and odor-free even after being subjected to boiling, baking, and the dishwasher. Impressively, there were no lingering smells or stains, even after storing highly pigmented foods like beets.
The standout feature is the seal—Stasher’s “Pinch-Loc” mechanism ensures a leak-proof seal, keeping contents secure without any spills. However, this tight seal can make cleaning and drying a bit tricky. We found that using a straw cleaning brush helped remove any residue, and due to the seal’s tightness, drying the bags took some extra effort.
