President Yoon Suk Yeol will hold a summit this week with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, who begins an official three-day visit to Korea on Monday, Yoon's office said.

During the summit, the two leaders are expected to discuss enhancing cooperation in trade and investment, development and people-to-people exchanges, as well as regional and international issues, the office said.

In June, Yoon visited Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan during his first Central Asia trip and plans to host an inaugural summit with the five Central Asian nations, including Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, next year. (Yonhap)
