Distressing audio has captured the horror moment a cop killer family opened fire on a group of young police officers as one of their victims was executed at close range despite begging for her life.
Gareth Train, alongside his former school principal brother Nathaniel and ex-teacher wife Stacey, shot dead Queensland police officers Rachel McCrow, 29, and Matthew Arnold, 26, as they approached his property at about 4:30pm on Monday.
The three family members, dressed in camouflage and heavily armed, opened fire on the officers as they arrived at the Train family's Wieambilla homestead to investigate the disappearance of Nathaniel, who hadn't been heard from since October.
An innocent bystander and neighbour Alan Dare, 58, was shot in the back and killed as he ran to the property to investigate the gunshots.
Distressing audio has captured the disturbing moment police watched and heard their colleagues being murdered in cold blood.
'We believe POI 2 may be discharging rounds. Shots fired,' a male officer says.
'It appears POI 2 is attempting to reload. POI 1 potentially taken a round here. POI 1 no movement. No movement from number 2 and appears to be blood on the ground'.
Ms McCrow is understood to have begged for her life as she lay wounded on the ground but was brutally murdered by the gunmen despite her pleas.

She and her colleague Constable Arnold were ambushed and shot at close range as they approached the front door of the remote property.
Constable Arnold became a police officer in March 2020, while his colleague Constable McCrow was sworn into the force in June 2021.
A third officer, Constable Randall Kirk was shot in the leg as he ran for cover while Constable Keeley Brough hid in long grass to evade the killers.
Constable Brough sent frantic text messages to her loved ones as the gunmen set fire to the bush in an attempt to smoke her out.
She had only graduated from the police academy eight weeks ago but bravely provided her colleagues with ongoing intel from her hiding spot.
At least 16 general duties officers arrived at the scene as a mass shoot out ensued.

Four officers had attended a property on Wains Road, in Wieambilla, west of Brisbane, on Monday at about 4.30pm, after being asked by their colleagues in NSW to check on missing man Nathaniel Train. Two officers were shot dead
One of the two surviving officers, Constable Keeley Brough (pictured) fled into surrounding bushland, where she texted family members in the belief she was going to die
The officers were able to retrieve the bodies of their fallen colleagues and rescue Mr Dare's wife Kerry from where she was hiding in the back of a car.
A heavily-armed special ops squad later shot Gareth, Nathaniel and Stacey dead at about 10:30pm local time on Monday night.
The officers were checking on Nathaniel Train - the former head teacher at Walgett Primary School, in the NSW greater west, and at Yorkeys Knob State school in far north Queensland.
He hadn't been seen by some loved ones for more than a year and hadn't been heard from since October. He was reported missing last week in Dubbo.
His brother Nathaniel was believed to have been living in regional northern NSW before travelling to Wieambilla to join his brother Gareth.

Posts obtained by Daily Mail Australia show Gareth Train was extremely active online in the comments sections of fringe news websites and regularly shared bizarre theories about major world events.
In one online rant, Gareth wrote that the Australian government was responsible for the Port Arthur Massacre, where 35 people were killed in Tasmania in 1996.
'Anyone who watched the live media coverage at the time and was aware of the political deceit lead up knows that this was a Government Psychological Operation to disarm the Australian population,' he wrote in November 2020.
Just two months earlier Gareth had claimed 'chemical agents' had been dropped over Australia, covering large parts of NSW, Victoria and Queensland. 'We are now being poisoned and chemically manipulated on a massive scale,' he wrote.

Gareth also regularly shared his mistrust for the Queensland Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) - the same team that arrived at his home and shot him about 10.30pm local time last night.
'The state sponsored terrorising squaddies - SOG, SERT and other special people are but government paramilitary hammers,' he said in September last year.
His brother Nathaniel is understood to have been living at Gareth and Stacey's home - which was off the grid, and which he appeared to be prepping for an imminent apocalypse, with extensive solar panels and water tanks.
Queensland Police Commissioner Katarina Carroll said the attending officers 'didn't stand a chance' as she tearfully addressed reporters on Tuesday.
'The fact that two got out alive is a miracle,' she said.
Flags will be flown at half mast at all police stations across Queensland on Tuesday while a floral tribute is building outside Chinchilla police station.
