
The following is a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice for the District of Idaho in Coeur d’Alene.
COEUR D’ALENE – The Nez Perce Tribal Police Department, U.S. Marshals Service out of Idaho and Washington, Idaho Department of Corrections, Idaho State Police and Lewiston Police Department located Keegan Brown, 19, on a property off Arrow Highline Road in Juliaetta Thursday night.
Utilizing technical resources from the various law enforcement agencies involved, the multiagency arrest team was able to safely and effectively apprehend Brown.
On April 8, the Second Judicial District Court for Nez Perce County in Lewiston issued an arrest warrant for Brown, charging him with probation violation stemming from a conviction of stalking in the first degree. He has a criminal history to include assault and has been served with multiple no-contact protection orders. Brown has a history of violence and threatening behavior in Idaho and Washington.
“Our District of Idaho is proud to continually work alongside our law enforcement partners in North Idaho and Eastern Washington. Mr. Brown was a threat to the community, and we hope his victims have a sense of security knowing he is in custody,” United States Marshal Brent Bunn said.
The USMS Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force is a state-wide cooperative to locate and arrest violent offenders wanted for state and federal crimes. Member agencies throughout the State of Idaho include: the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, Coeur d’Alene Police Department, Idaho Department of Corrections, Idaho State Police, Nampa Police Department, Pocatello Police Department, Caldwell Police Department, Ada County Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
