Fire reported near mile marker 39

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A vehicle fire around noon Sunday brought eastbound traffic to a halt on State Road 528 in Brevard County.

The fire was reported near mile marker 39, around two miles away from SR-528′s interchange with Interstate 95.

Traffic cameras showed a large presence of first responders at the scene, set in the distance of the otherwise empty roadway.

As of 12:40 p.m., all but the rightmost lane had been cleared, according to FL511.

No other details have been shared or confirmed, such as of the circumstances that led up to the fire or any information on possible injuries.
