Two vehicles damaged in Idaho Falls garage fire

IDAHO FALLS — Two vehicles were damaged after a garage fire in Idaho Falls on Tuesday night.

According to a news release from the Idaho Falls Fire Department, firefighters responded to the fire on the 1700 block of Camrose Street at 8:20 p.m.

When firefighters arrived at the single-story home, they saw heavy smoke coming from an attached two-car garage. Smoke was also coming from the eaves, the release said.

Firefighters put out the fire and kept it from causing significant damage to the house.

One woman was inside at the time of the fire. She got out safely and unhurt, and no injuries were reported, the release said.

Two vehicles were inside the garage. A car sustained damage to the frame, and there was smoke damage to the SUV.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The estimated damages are not known at this time.
