Tulisa breaks silence on 'screaming match' with best pal after I'm A Celeb exit

1 year ago 432

After her adventure in the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! jungle, Tulisa Contostavlos has spoken out about rumours that she had a fallout with her close friend post-exit.

The N-Dubz singer, who was the third to leave the camp, made headlines when she wiped her Instagram clean of any content related to her time on the ITV show. She also missed her scheduled slot on the follow-up programme, Unpacked, and was notably absent from greeting Melvin Odoom after his own exit on Tuesday.

Tulisa later explained her actions, admitting she felt overwhelmed after leaving the jungle and decided to take some personal time. "I can get overwhelmed quite easily and started to feel overwhelmed. I realised I needed to take time for myself, and to chill, it's all a little bit much at the moment," she revealed.

She went on to say, "I'm just going to archive all my stuff to do with the jungle and then, when the time is right and I've had time to process, I'm going to make my own reels of my best bits that I really like. Because remember, I haven't been doing my Instagrams. The way it's being posted and all the random stuff is not how I would do my Insta - I would have one or two really good reels relating to the jungle and bringing my time together there."

Speculation had been rife that Tulisa had a major row with her friend, Michelle McKenna, who had travelled to Australia to be there for her after her eviction. Tulisa, however, has firmly dismissed such claims.

The singer took to Instagram to clear the air regarding her friendships, emphasising harmony within her close circle. She stated: "Absolutely no issue with my sis's posts...haven't argued with my best mate in over 10 years.

"We literally don't have arguments, they don't exist in our world. Only love. Same with my bro. That's what makes us so strong and my soul fam so special to me. Say what u want about me, but leave my Shelly and Dan alone pls."

Following her departure from the show and her memorable walk across the red bridge, she checked in at the JW Marriott Hotel alongside the cast and crew, only to inexplicably go off the radar shortly after.

An insider spilled to The Sun: "Tulisa and the two friends who came to Australia with her disappeared after she came out. No one saw her in the hotel and she wasn't talking to anyone. Her mates were talking among themselves and were worried as no one could pin her down. They were chatting back and forth in their group chats and no one could raise her. It was total radio silence."

Another source mentioned: "Not having Tulisa at the hotel with the other stars has been odd, and people don't know whether or not she'll be back to film the reunion. Naturally, everyone just wants her to be all right, and ITV and her campmates are being supportive."

Tulisa last made an appearance on ITV's Lorraine this Tuesday, where she shared insights from her time in the jungle, hinting that not every contestant might have been as genuine as they seemed.

She commented: "I feel like I have with some of them. I think they will be friends for life. But a lot of people for the cameras were being very pally pally but the real test will be when everyone is out. Will they make the effort to send texts in the group chat? Will they do the four hour drives to see each other? We'll see."

*I'm A Celebrity airs every night on ITV1 and ITVX at 9pm.
