Willowbank YC/FC said: "We are deeply saddened of the news of our former player Emmett Llewellyn has passed away. Emmett [represented] the club from the age of 5 and played for over 13 years. Emmett was a popular lad as a kid and [represented] the club at every youth level before turning into a gentleman as an adult. A great player but an even better person - he will be saving others through organ donation.
"Everyone within Willowbank from the committeee, coaches, players, ex players and supporters would like to express their condolences to his family, friends & anyone who knew Emmett. We know this will impact members within our club so please help each other out over the next days/weeks. Although Emmett has passed far too early, we are lucky enough to have some amazing memories for life. We encourage any of members to wear Willowbank attire when attending Emmetts funeral as a token of respect. Once a bank man, always a bank man."
Ford FC said: "We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our former player Emmet Llewellyn.
"Emmet played for us the 22/23 season and was not only a good football player but also a great guy to have around the club, in the changing room and of course a rendition of sweet caroline on a trip away.
"He has left a lasting impact on his former teammates and friends at Ford. Our thoughts and prayers are with Emmet's family and friends at this time."
Another tribute read: "RIP Emmet. An absolute gentleman of the highest degree."
