A child has died just days before Christmas in after the vehicle he was travelling in rolled on a regional highway in South West New South Wales, with another child inside the vehicle miraculously surviving the accident.
Emergency services responded to the accident at Moulamein Road, Moulamein – about 110km northwest of Deniliquin, on Thursday, just before 12pm.
NSW Police said when arrived they found a Toyota Hilux with significant damage.
Another child, aged four, who was travelling in the vehicle survived the accident and was rushed to Royal Melbourne Children's Hospital in an air ambulance.
The driver, a 31-year-old man, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
