A man has been arrested after a criminal damage incident at Dublin Airport on St Patrick's Day in which a gate was smashed up.
Airport Police rushed to gate 107 of the busy airport on Monday morning after a topless man wearing a face covering engaged in a frenzied attack on the gate as terrified holiday goers looked on.
In footage shared on social media, the man can be seen acting erratically outside of the gate, kicking the desk and wall, he can also be seen throwing an item towards another man at the gate, who promptly walks away with his luggage.
The incident continues in more footage, as the man continues to throw items around the terminal. He is seen lobbing chairs and tables attached to a cafe next to the gate, as well as kicking over the Ryanair baggage weight checker.
Gardai confirmed they arrested a man in his 20s in connection with an incident of criminal damage at Dublin Airport on Monday.
A Garda spokesperson told the Irish Mirror: "Gardai arrested a man in connection with incidents of criminal damage in Terminal 1, Dublin Airport, this morning, Monday, 17 March 2025.
"The man, aged in his 20s, has been charged and is due to appear before Court 2 of the Criminal Courts of Justice Dublin, this morning."
The Irish Mirror has contacted the DAA and Ryanair for comment.
