Titanic Quarter Belfast incident sees police respond to reports of 'suspicious male' in underground car park

Police have said they responded to reports of a "suspicious male" in an underground car park in Belfast.

On Saturday afternoon, November 30, residents at Arc Apartments in the Titanic Quarter were unable to access their homes for a period of time due to a police presence in the area. The incident was then confined to the building's underground car park.

In a statement issued to Belfast Live, a spokesperson for the PSNI said they "responded to reports of a suspicious male in the underground car park."

They added: "The area was thoroughly searched however CCTV subsequently confirmed the male had left.

"A man matching the description was later located by police on Great Victoria Street. The matter is now being investigated by the Belfast Harbour Police."

Belfast Harbour Police have been contacted for a statement.
