Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash in Co Down on Wednesday. Two of those injured in the crash are PSNI officers.
In a statement issued by a police spokesperson this afternoon, it was confirmed that a police vehicle was involved in a two-vehicle road traffic collision in the Cotton Road area of Bangor on Wednesday, April 2.
Shortly after 9am, it was reported that the vehicle was involved in an incident with another car.
The statement read: "Two officers and a woman, driving the other vehicle involved, were taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The road has since reopened following the collision.
"Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and police would appeal to anyone with any information or who may have dashcam footage available from the scene, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 285 02/04/25."
