A major road in Belfast is closed on Friday afternoon as police attend a report of a "concern for safety."
The Sydenham Bypass is currently closed in both directions, with a build-up of traffic reported in the area. Motorists have been asked to avoid the area and diversions are in place.
Public transport has been impacted, with Translink advising the road closure between Dee Street and Tillysburn Roundabout means the 600 bus service cannot reach Belfast City Airport. Trains on the Bangor line have also been suspended "until further notice."
A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Road users are advised to avoid the Sydenham Bypass due to a build-up of traffic as police attend a report of a concern for safety in the area. Diversions are in place."
In a statement on social media, Belfast City Airport said: "Passengers travelling to and from Belfast City Airport are advised to leave extra time for their journey and follow any diversions in place."
