Surfer dies after being pulled unconscious from the water by swimmers and surfers and paramedics performing CPR

A surfer, 62, has died at a beach on the NSW South coastHe was pulled from the ocean at Caves Beach, Jervis Bay Paramedics performed CPR but the man couldn't be saved

A surfer has died after being pulled unconscious from the water on the NSW south coast. 

The 62-year-old man was brought to shore by surfers and swimmers at Caves Beach, Jervis Bay, about 10am on Monday. 

Paramedics performed CPR but the surfer could not be revived. 

Officers attached to the South Coast Police District and Federal Police attended. 

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
