Strictly Come Dancing's Pete Wicks has candidly revealed what he'd be like as a dad, hinting at a no-nonsense approach following Maura Higgins' revelation about her private life. After being gifted a drawing by a young fan, 36 year old Pete quipped it's high time for parents to level with their kids about their creative output.
He confessed: "If I ever have children, I will be the sort of father that would tell them the truth."
He added his frank take on kids' art: "So, when your child brings home a picture and everyone goes, 'Oh, that's wonderful', but really you're thinking, 'What the f**k is it?', I will say, 'What the f**k is it?'" Unimpressed by the artwork sent his way, Pete stated, "The picture I got sent last night was f*****g vile."
Pete expressed his dismay at false praise, "Let's stop enabling children to think their drawing is good because a lot of the time, they're bad, that's all."
His dance partner Jowita Przystał chimed in during his Staying Relevant podcast rant stating the controversial artwork did, in fact, bring him joy, which Pete humorously refuted, saying there was something off from the start, reports the Mirror.

Despite not naming names, the 34 year old implied they had been seen together several times recently.
Talking to GK Barry about managing her romantic secrets, Maura voiced her strategy while in the public eye, sharing: "What's the point in getting them [the media] involved too soon, when you just don't know where it's gonna go, you know?".
Maura candidly spoke about the snapshots capturing her and a companion on a recent evening out, admitting: "Well we've already been papped, tongues down each other's necks and we had no idea!" She humorously added, "The funniest part was I had a vape in one hand and a cigarette in the other, living my best life."
While Maura acknowledged a budding romance, the two maintain that they are currently single and not officially an item - at least for the moment. During their separation, Pete has urged his followers to back Maura, asking them to help her make it to the final.
He showed his support by sharing a comical meme from her stint on the ITV show, penning: "I've been George of the Jungle [on Strictly] but now it's time to vote for Maura of the Jungle."
