POCATELLO — A spectator died at the Highland High School JV football game Friday evening, according to a Facebook post by Pocatello School District 25.
According to the post, it was a player’s grandparent who lost consciousness. Although a local physician, training staff and first responders made “strenuous efforts”, they were unable to revive the person.
“On behalf of the Board of Trustees and District and Highland administrators, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the HHS student athlete who lost their loved one,” the post reads.
The identities of the player and their grandparent have not been released.
