SHELLEY — A fire broke out in a shop in Shelley on Sunday night, causing the building to collapse and burn to the ground.

According to Shelley-Firth Fire District Chief Randy Adams, the fire broke out around 11:45 p.m. at a building in the 700 East block of 1550 North, off Woodville Road in Bingham County.

The fire was put out within 40 minutes, and Adams says firefighters battled the high winds throughout the process.

No one was injured, but the shop was a total loss.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire and will be investigating the circumstances on Monday afternoon.
