No one injured in shooting on International Speedway Boulevard

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A shooting Monday morning inside a Dunkin’ in Daytona Beach prompted a lockdown of nearby Mainland High School, police said.

No one was injured in the shooting, which was reported around 8:30 a.m. at the Dunkin’ at 1173 W. International Speedway Boulevard.

Daytona Beach police said officers were called to the restaurant after a shot was fired inside the store.

The manager provided a description of the suspected shooter and officers located the person and firearm nearby, police said.

Due to its proximity, Mainland High School was placed on lockdown.

“The suspects are in custody and there are no safety concerns for students, faculty or residents in the area,” police tweeted.
