EASTERN IDAHO — Malad fell in heartbreaking fashion in the 3A Girls Basketball State Championship.
But several of the players who led the Dragons to the championship game, and the program’s best record, earned spots among the IdahoSports.com All-Tournament selections — including Defensive MVP Mikell Keetch. Ririe’s Jaidyn Nelson was named the tournament 6th Man Award-winner, while players from North Fremont and Soda Springs were also named among the selections.
The Parma Panthers bested Malad by a score or 58-53 in the championship game, and had star Aarey Harris named Tournament MVP.
