3 months ago 216

A new late bar and club is set to open in Belfast city centre later this year.

Work is getting underway and new signage has appeared on May Street behind Belfast City Hall for a new nightlife spot called Rudi, the newest addition to The Clover Group.

The NI hospitality giants own a number of popular bars and venues across the city including Whites Tavern, Pug Uglies and the adjoining cocktail bar Margot.

Margot closed at the beginning of the year to undergo a transformation - teasing on social media they would be back in Spring 2025 with an "exciting new look, space & more".

Back in 2022, The Clover Group announced plans to extend Margot's offering with an expansion on the corner of May Street and Donegall Square East, originally called 'Brat'.

The announcement of Brat said that the new bar would provide" a late-night dimension to Margot’s underground vibe bringing together an eclectic clientele with a quality food and music offering."

New branding and social media accounts have teased a new name for the project 'Rudi' and that it is also set to open to the public in Spring 2025.

A post on Instagram reads: "Something new .. something below is coming...

"Introducing, your new favourite late bar & club in Belfast, arriving below Margot Belfast".
