Police said that burglaries happened at campus parking lots over the weekend

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The University of Central Florida has suffered a rash of car burglaries on its campus over the weekend, according to the UCF Police Department.

In a release, police said that the burglaries were reported in the B7 and B8 parking lots on the main campus. All of the vehicles that were targeted were Hondas, the release shows.

Police explained that to gain entry, the burglars broke the plastic cover of the driver’s side door handle, and the key cylinder was removed.

The police department announced that detectives are investigating the burglaries, including reviewing surveillance footage of the area, and police will continue to patrol UCF’s campuses 24/7.
