The Hurricanes missed out on adding their second quarterback commit in as many days.

Standout Georgia quarterback Air Noland committed to Ohio State on Saturday night, choosing the Buckeyes over Miami, Alabama and Clemson, among others.

Noland, who announced his decision on 247Sports’ YouTube channel, is rated a four-star prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings. He is listed as the No. 8 quarterback and No. 84 player in the 2024 class.

Noland plays for Langston Hughes High in Fairburn, Georgia. Miami 2023 defensive-line signee Joshua Horton was Noland’s teammate in high school. That was not enough to sway the star prospect to Coral Gables, though.

Noland threw for 4,095 yards and 55 touchdowns last season, leading Langston Hughes to a 15-0 record and a state title. As a sophomore, he threw for 2,581 yards and 34 touchdowns. He has shown uncommon accuracy for a high school quarterback, completing 64 percent of his passes as a sophomore and 73 percent as a junior with just 11 interceptions in two seasons.

The Hurricanes have one quarterback in their 2024 class: three-star passer Judd Anderson, who committed to Miami on Friday night.
