Police are investigating a "potential spiking incident" at a Belfast city centre night club in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service confirmed one person was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast after the incident at a venue in the Patterson's Place area of the city. An emergency call in relation to the incident was received at 2.20am.
A spokesperson for the NIAS said: "The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 02:20 on Thursday 13th February following reports of an incident in the Pattersons Place Area, Belfast.

"NIAS dispatched one Emergency Ambulance crew to the incident. Following initial assessment and treatment at the scene, one patient was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital by ambulance."
A spokesperson for the PSNI added: "Yesterday evening (12th February) police received a report of a potential spiking incident in Belfast city centre. Investigative enquiries remain ongoing."
