Police investigating ‘criminality linked to the New IRA’ have charged a man with a number of drugs offences.
In a brief statement sent out on Tuesday evening the PSNI said the man is due in court at the end of the month.
A police spokesperson said: “Detectives from the Police Service’s Serious Crime Branch investigating criminality linked to the New IRA have today, Tuesday 1st April, charged a 20-year-old man with possession of a Class B controlled drug, possession of a Class controlled drug with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug, and transferring criminal property.
“He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on 29th April, 2025. As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.”
