There's a mouthwatering opening night clash as current champion Luke Littler takes on the most decorated player in the league, with seven wins under his belt, Michael van Gerwen. The Dutch player criticised Littler for arriving late for the launch on Wednesday, stating he is not a kid anymore, having turned 18 years old this year.
Littler is the talk of the darts world following his meteoric rise to the top. After claiming his first PDC title last year with victory over Luke Humphries, he became the youngest-ever world champion in darts history after winning the PDC World Championships following his win over van Gerwen in the final.
