Police investigating the sexual assault of a railway worker on a train have released a picture of a woman they want to quiz in connection to the incident.

British Transport Police say the suspect got off the train at East Croydon station in south London following the incident on the evening of Saturday July 30 this year.

Officers believe the woman in the CCTV image may have information which could assist their investigation.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: 'A member of rail staff who was working on the service was sexually assaulted by a woman just before 8pm on July 30.

'She then got off the train at East Croydon station.

'Officers believe the woman in the CCTV image may have information which could help their investigation.'
