Police issue appeal after Co Antrim primary school vandalised

Police are appealing for the public's help after a number of classrooms at a Co Antrim primary school were vandalised.

The incident, which occurred at Whiteabbey Primary School on Monday February 17, saw damage caused to a number of mobile classrooms, including the windows and toilets and spray paint daubed on the outside of the classrooms.

Officers say they are working to identify those involved and have asked anyone with information which may help their investigation to come forward.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police are appealing for information following a report of criminal damage at a school situated in the Old Manse Road area of Newtownabbey, on Monday 17th February.

"Damage was caused to the contents of a number of mobile classrooms, including the windows and toilets of each. Further damage was also caused to the exterior walls, where spray paint had been used.

"Enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved, but if you have any information which could assist officers, please contact us on 101 or online via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.

"If you would prefer to provide information without giving your details, you can contact the independent Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111."
